I can't restore seesion from "sessionstore.bak".

I misclosed all my browser windows yesterday. I was hoping to cast the
tabs back by next algorithm:
1)Kill seamonkey process;
2) Copy sessionstore.bak to sessionstore.bak~;
3) Check content of all sessionstore* files;
4) Copy sessionstore.bak~ to sessionstore.{bak, json};
5) Restart seamonkey;
6) Enjoy.
It has already helped me when I by mistake cancelled the restore session.
But at this time the browser opens the home page only.
What I'm doing wrong?
